Summer Reading Programs Print

The Negaunee Public Library's Summer Reading Programs begin Monday, June 10! There's something for all ages.

Children age 3 and up can register to participate and pick up a book of their choice and a reading log to track the time they spend reading on or after June 10. There will be prizes and special events throughout the program, culminating in an ice cream social for the finale party at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 30. Every child who completes his or her reading log will receive either a certificate for a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut or a certificate for free bowling at River Rock Lanes in Ishpeming.

The summer reading program for tweens and teens (ages 10-17) has expanded! This program will be similar to the children's program, but teens can set their own reading goals. Every tween or teen who completes his or her goal will receive either a certificate for a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut or a certificate for free bowling at River Rock Lanes in Ishpeming. There will also be a competition for who reads the most pages, with cool prizes at stake! The tween/teen finale pizza party will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 31.

Adult patrons may fill out a slip with their name, phone number, and the book or audiobook they read to enter a drawing for a chance to win prizes donated by local businesses.
