On Wednesday, June 20th at 7:00 P.M, the Ontonagon Township Library will host a special fundraising event featuring a presentation on the hottest crime and mystery writers from Finland, Sweden, Denmark and beyond by Marlene Broemer (PhD, University of Helsinki.)

Midsummer is an important holiday in Finland, and our fundraiser is being held on the eve of the Summer Solstice in accordance with that celebration! The night will feature some delicious refreshments, great door prizes, and wine will be available for those of age.

Nordic Noir will be a 100% donation-based event, with a suggested donation of $10 per person (but any amount you're able to give is appreciated.) Proceeds raised will go towards purchasing a dry-erase whiteboard for library programs and other occurences in the Township meeting room. (Any money raised beyond the cost of the whiteboard will go to the library's general operating fund.)
