We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out for our summer programs. We hope you enjoyed them as much as we did!
The Super Mega Hardcore Fancy Acoustic Concert a couple weeks ago was a great success. Here are some pictures of the action...
Our Super Science Day with the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum was super successful! Check out some photos below (just click on the picture for a larger image.)
A big thanks goes out to Andrea from AAHOM, and also to our friends at the Ontonagon Theater of Performing Arts for letting us hold the workshops in their fancy Chandelier Room! It was a perfect setting for the "Crime Lab" mystery that the older kids solved!

The Ontonagon Township Library is very excited to announce that our new (and much improved) search system is now live! When you go to "Find an Item" in the menu above, you'll notice that options have changed.
Don't be scared. I promise this is a good thing.
The new system is called Enterprise and it features a user-friendly interface, an attractive graphical layout to match our amazing website, powerful search options, featured "new books at OTL" and "best sellers" components, and full integration with Great Lakes Digital Library (so you can download eBooks and search our card catalog all in one convenient place!)
When using Enterprise, there is a simple drop-down menu which lets you decide whether to search only OTL or include our Interlibrary Loan partners (use the "all resource sharing libraries" option to do a U.P.-wide search.) No more going back to the beginning to start your search all over again when we don't have what you're looking for! You'll also notice a "Continue your search in MeL" button. Can't find what you're looking for in any U.P. libraries? With Enterprise, you no longer need to open up a whole new webpage and start a MeL search from scratch. Now it only takes one click to go from local search to statewide search!
There are also some exciting new account features, such as being able to create custom lists (books you'd like to read, favorite movies, etc.) and an easier interface for managing your holds and requests.
The link to the old system will remain active for the time being while you get comfortable with the new website. If there is enough interest expressed, we might host a small informal "class" to show people around the new system. So stop in and let us know what you think!
Use the "Find an Item" menu above, or click here to try out Enterprise!
In other exciting news, your Library Director has been taking a continuing education class, and as part of his coursework had to make a promotional video. The results are below (and the whole thing was made using equipment and software available right here at the library!)
Please note that we have officially entered "summer hours" where computer use is concerned. Computer sessions are limited to 30 minutes; no exceptions. If there are available computers after you have signed out and given others a reasonable chance to log on, additional sessions may be available.
If these rules are not followed, it may result in computer priveleges being restricted or revoked. If everyone follows the rules and uses common sense and fairness, we can keep our public computer system simple and accessible.
Thank you for your help in ensuring that all of our patrons and visitors are able to get online during this busy time of year.
"We are all getting along and sharing the computers fairly! Hooray for the library! Hooray for summer! Hooray for stock photography!"
Our Young Adult Nonfiction section is gone!!! Now you may be thinking one of three things...
