Welcome to the Alanson Area Public Library

"The world of books is the most remarkable creation of man. Nothing else that he builds ever lasts. Monuments fall, nations perish, civilizations grow old and die out, and after an era new races build others. But in the world of books are volumes that have seen this happen again and again and yet live on, still young, still as fresh as the day they were written, still telling men's hearts of the hearts of men centuries dead."
~ Clarence Day

New Library Computers Installed

With the assistance of a grant in the amount of $2810 from the Great Lakes Energy People Fund, the Alanson Area Public Library is pleased to announce that it has recently completed a project to replace and upgrade all library computers, including eight for public use and two for staff.
Members of the Great Lakes Energy support the People Fund by voluntarily rounding up their bills to the next highest dollar. The rounded up amount is distributed to non-profit organizations and charitable activities that benefit people in communities served by the cooperative.
To enroll in the People Fund or for more information, please contact Great Lakes Energy at 1-888-485-2537, or visit gtlakes.com.

The computers which were replaced are available to the public for purchase,
in as-is condition, for a donation amount.
