ALANSON AREA PUBLIC LIBRARY

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

November 3, 2016

The monthly meeting of the Alanson Area Public Library Board was called to order by President, Joan Niewiadomski, at 6:00 pm.  Trustees present were Pat McFarland, Sue Warner, and BR Smith.  Library Director, Anna LaRue, was also present.   Anne Billiard was absent.  No guests were in attendance.

Minutes:    Minutes of the October 5, 2016 regular board meeting were approved as read.

Treasurer’s Report: 

·         Reconciled bank statements for August and September were presented for initialing;

·         Bills paid for September and October were presented; Sue moved to approve the payment of the bills, supported by Pat.  Bills payment approved.

·         Total of Equities and Liabilities as of Oct. 31, 2016 $172,138.95

·         Pat moved to accept the treasurer’s report. Supported by Sue.  Report accepted.

Director’s Report:

·         Cash and usage report was reviewed.

·         Program report:

Ron Fowler’s story hours are over

Book Club started on 11/2/16 with 15 attending.  Book for December is, “A Man Called Ove”, by Fredric Backman

·         Raises for the part time employees ( Robyn and Mack) was discussed.

·         Sue moved to approve the director’s report, supported by BR, report approved.

Unfinished Business:

·         None

New Business:

·         Alanson Christmas will be 12/9/16 from 5-8.

·         Treasurer’s position discussed
