 Budget Workshop Meeting

 May 24, 2017         

 

The annual budget workshop meeting of the Alanson Area Public Library Board was called to order by President, Joan Niewiadomski, at 6:00 p.m.  Trustees present were Anne Billiard, Janet Batog, Pat McFarland, B.R.Smith, and Sue Warner.  Library Director, Anna LaRue was also in attendance.

 

Minutes:   Minutes of the May 3, 2017 meeting were tabled until the June 7, regular meeting.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

·         Anne presented the purposed budget for the 2017-2018 fiscal year

·         Fund balance - definition was clarified

·         Each line item reviewed and discussed

·         Final approval of the 2017-2018 budget will be at the June 7, budget meeting.

 

Meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.

P.S.    Following the adjournment of the workshop, Joan and Anna shared wonderful news.  Mr. William Wortley, now deceased, bequeathed Alanson Area Public Library the sum of $20,000.  This will have a very positive impact on our new budget.
