Board Meeting March 2018

Regular Monthly Board Meeting
  March 7, 2018         

 

The regular monthly meeting of the Alanson Area Public Library Board was called to order by Vice President, BR Smith, at 6:00 p.m.  Trustees present were Janet Batog, Pat McFarland, and Sue Warner, and Library Director, Anna LaRue.  Joan Niewiadomski was absent.

Minutes:   Minutes of the February 7, meeting were approved  with one date correction.

Treasurer’s Report:

         Bills for February were presented for initialing.

         Motion was made by Sue to approve the bill payments for February; supported by Pat.  Payments  approved. 

          Profit and loss statements were presented.

         Total liabilities and equity as of February 28, 2018: $144,742.24

         Sue, moved to accept the treasurer’s report, supported by Pat.  Report accepted.

Library Director’s Report:

         Monthly cash and usage report was presented.

         Programs:

                              Book Club book of the month: “Hana’s Suitcase”, 2016 edition by Karen Levine

·         Sherry’s evaluation was satisfactory. Increase of .25 was approved.

·         A motion was made by Sue to increase the salaries, for all those whose evaluations are due this spring, by .25.  Supported by Pat.

·         It was questioned whether to participate in either the Good Hart Mini Fair or Project Connect again.

·          Sue moved to accept the director’s report, supported by Pat; report approved

Unfinished Business:

         Profit from FOAL Wine Tasting was approximately $1300.00.  Thank you FOAL.

         Scanner use discussed

New Business:

·         No new business

 

 Meeting adjourned at 6:50 and moved to close session, as requested by Anna, to discuss her evaluation. Session adjourned at 7:00.

Regular meeting again called to order at 7:00 and with no further business adjourned at 7:10.pm.
