August 7, 2013
Regular Monthly Meeting
Meeting called to order by President, Joan Niewiadomski, at 6:00 p.m. Trustees present, were Anne Billiard, BR Smith, Sue Warner, Bonnie Weaver was absent. Library Director, Anna LaRue and Sherry Webster were also present.
Minutes:
- Minutes from the July 10, 2013 meeting were read and approved.
Public comment and guests:
None
Treasurer’s Report:
- Bills for July were presented; profit and loss statements, and bank statements for initialing.
- Sue moved to approve the bill payments for July, supported by BR, motion carried.
- Another donation from the Baiardi Family Foundation was received in the amount of $1000.00. This to be used to purchase beginning to read through teen materials.
- All monies from the township contracts and our penal fines have been received
- Total liabilities and equities as of July 31: $143,503.36
Sue moved to approve the treasurer’s report, supported by BR, motion carried.
Librarian’s Report:
- Anna presented the cash and usage report.
- Interviews for new employee on Monday, Aug. 12.
- The parking issue with Dutch Oven employees has been addressed and has improved.
- Cleaning issue has improved as well.
- Summer Programs: 71 total participants for the 6weeks. The 6 week fall reading program will be on Tuesdays this year.
- Casey’s last day will be August 23.
BR moved to accept the library director’s report, supported by Anne, motion approved.
Unfinished Business:
- Nothing has been resolved with the school ‘Stretch’ Program – library card information?
- Book sale – Friday, 8/9/13 set up from 4-6; sale on Sat. from 10-2; and Sun. from 12-2. Silent auction on Sat. only, 10-4.
- FOAL – in need of more members;
New Business:
- Anna’s 6 month evaluation due in September; new evaluation sheets passed out to trustees
