We are a sub regional library with the Michigan Bureau of Services for BliGLTB LOGOnd Persons in Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO). All Michigan residents who are: blind, visually impaired, unable to read standard sized print, unable to hold a book, or unable to read because of a reading disability resulting from an organic dysfunction (e.g. dyslexia) are eligible to receive audio and braille books and magazines for all age levels and reading interests. Services also are available to schools with eligible students and institutions with eligible patients, clients, or residents. This program is available at no charge and is made possible by the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, Library of Congress, Washington, D.C..

Please note, the application requires the Certificate of Eligibility to be signed by a qualified professional such as a provider, librarian, or therapist. If the qualifying disability is a reading disability, a doctor of medicine or osteopathy must certify eligibility. Download Acrobat Reader to view and print the application form.
