The Ontonagon Township Library will hold a “Spring Splash” party on Wednesday, April 5th (the week of spring break for OAS students.) The party is free for all kids. Parents and family members are encouraged to attend.

Attendees will have a chance to win a prize in our “Titanic Engineering Challenge” by building a boat using a limited supply of household materials. After the craft has been designed and built, we’ll check if it can beat the waves in our cutting-edge Maritime Turbulence Simulation Rendering Unit, which may or may not be a plastic tub filled with tap water.

Other activities include a Wii Sports wakeboarding tournament. Do you have what it takes to shred the virtual waves and take home the title of “Sickest Moves on the Seven Seas”? There’s, like, only one way to find out, man.

There will also be food and drinks, including a chocolate fountain!

Spring Splash will take place Wednesday, April 5th from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. We ask that attendees RSVP (in person, phone, Facebook, or e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) so that we can determine how much food we will need.

If you would like to donate food, prizes, or your time, please inquire with library staff (884-4411.)
